Brilliant location. Friendly helpful staff. Best hotel breakfasts ever - excellent choice, beautifully cooked and very good ingredients. Also nice 'olde worldy' atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Spacious, comfortable room with generous towels(size and quantity)
The bar ran out of draft beer and did not have some of the wine on their menu. Such a big establishment should have better stock control.
comfortable beds, good food, rooms had been recently upgraded
Bistro was rather cold and not very welcoming
Despite having booked the 2 rooms in October last year we were told it was not possible for us to have adjacent rooms., in fact we were given rooms on different levels, and we needed our keys to access the upper level.
Nice friendly staff, nice bed, nice breakfast
Close to town centre & ideal for all local amenities. Nice room, big towels & free Shampoo & Shower Gel. Room 20, also includes a CD player Nice cooked Breakfast
Bit noisy late night & early morning (Bin men), but a minor problem, considering location. No suitable discounted parking in nearby NCP car park, but City Council car park, across main road, not too bad for 24 hour parking Odd that breakfast is served until noon, but have to vacate room by 11am, 12 am would be better.
It was central - convenient to the cathedral which was the reason for our stay and was pleasant. It was also in Friar Street - a very old and appealing shopping area.
The central open area could do with a facelift and our room needed more air as it was very warm at night
The staff were pleasant and friendly and ready to ensure everything was as required. The food was excellent, varied choice, beautifully cooked and ample portions.
The noise of the refuse trucks and road sweeper at six in the morning.
it was a nice be to sleep in
didnt like the bathroom it was full of someone elses hair it just need a good clean
The location is excellent, and the shower was great!
The Sunday Roast beef dinner was not very good. The meat was unchewable.
Well located, friendly and helpfull staff, perhaps not very practical for elderley or disadvantage guests who could have a problem with the buildings stairs (the building goes back to the 13c). City Cente parking readilly available a short distance away.
value.great service.enjoyable and will be staying there again next time i'm in worcester
the hotel is close to shops, other restaurants, canals and mainly our family which is the reason we stayed there. We love the walks in worcester and like to visit hereford and stratford on avon and of course, worcester cathedral. we have stayed there many times before and have found everything we need.
everything was fine and we would go there again.
The location was excellent, as we were primarily in Worcester to visit its cathedral and others in neighbouring counties. That's it in terms of 'like'.
1. It can't make up its mind if it's a mid-price hotel, or a bar with a smoking area clogging up the entrance, including the entrance to the restaurant. The entrance was used by smokers, it wasn't cleaned over night, and getting past them was very difficult for someone like myself who suffers from asthma. Also walking through fag-ends and smokers cross about people passing them to get into the hotel wasn't great either. 2. Our allocated room was right over this area. We were moved without fuss, but the new room was extremely noisy and its bathroom was grotty and needs replacing. Reviews for this hotel mention street noise but don;t say that on Friday and Saturday at least it goes on until 2 or 3am. 3. The restaurant actually served not wonderful bar-type food, not what the reviews had led me to expect.
Nothing the hotel was vile could not wait to get home
The staff when first arriving were useless we had to wait ages In reception our room was filthy with bathroom fittings broken off.breakfast was under cooked the poached eggs had a milky substance that filled myplate so I couldn't eat it. No one asked if it was ok or didwe enjoy r stay!
The room was dark and very noisey due to the main road outside. There was a bottle bank adjacent to the hotel which we heard being emptied every morning. The bar was only open until 11pm each night and I would not stay there again. They also charged me £6.00 / day for parking......ridiculous
